On the title page, the publisher's name, robert m. mcbride & company, has been replaced with the literary guild. Issued together with this volume, in the same slipcase and a matching binding, was a Literary Guild issue of the revised edition of Carl Van Doren's JAMES BRANCH CABELL, A11c.

Wings, Vol. 6, No. 2 for February 1932

wingsWings was a small format monthly magazine The Literary Guild issued to its subscribers. The issue of February, 1932, was largely dedicated to Cabell, the author of the Guild's then current selection These Restless Heads. It included critical essays on Cabell by H.L. Mencken and Burton Rascoe, a discussion of These Restless Heads by Carl Van Doren, and a photographic portrait of Cabell. The Cabellian portions of the magazine are reproduced here as a *.pdf file.
