This pamphlet was a promotional item used by Doubleday, Doran to advertise its publication of Smire (SME-A1), the third volume in the Nightmare has Triplets trilogy. The first two titles in this trilogy, Smirt (SMT-A1) and Smith (SMH-A1) were published by Robert McBride. The photocopied letter shown near right was sent to booksellers along with trade copies (in addition to the 500 copies printed for sale) of the booklet.
