There are many potted biographies of Eddison on the web. and I don't see any justification in adding another one. You can access several from the links page. Suffice it to say that I first read The Worm Ouroboros over thirty years ago, and it remains one of my favorite fantasy novels. It is flawed in some ways, I agree, but a masterpiece nonetheless.
