Much like R. O'Hare's F15 Catalogue 116, this was a bookseller's catalog devoted to a collection of works by and about James Branch Cabell, here offered by noted California bookseller and small press printer Roy Squires (1920-1988). Unlike Catalogue 116, though, the intent of Catalog X was to offer the collection, for the most part,for sale as a whole. The catalog is undated, but was originally issued c. 1975-76. The collection lingered unsold for a number of years, and while Squires did sell off some of the peripheral items from time to time, the bulk of the collection was still intact when it was purchased in 1983 by the present writer (Thorne).
