1. Beginning with page (v), which is numbered as p. [ix], the preliminary pages are paginated incorrectly. This is because they were originally numbered for the Storisende Edition. In this collation, the correct pagination for the prelims is given in (parentheses), while the numeration as printed is given in [brackets].
2. The Colophon, p. (343), was originally printed for The Storisende Edition. This is the only "Red Storisende" that included the original colophon.

Dust jacket:
Gold paper, with black lettering and decorations. Both the front and rear panels are enclosed in the same Papé border used for the front cover, with Papé illustrations within the borders on both front and rear. The drawing used for this jacket was originally used in the first illustrated edition of The Cream of the Jest, Hall CoJ-C1 (P), facing p. 88 (see image above).
